Merchants additionally provide business details and KYC documents (government-issued ID, proof of address, CAC certificate). We also collect information automatically — including IP address, device type, browser, pages visited, and purchase history — via cookies and similar tracking technologies.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: (a) process and fulfil orders; (b) verify your identity and age; (c) process payments and prevent fraud; (d) send transactional emails and order updates; (e) provide customer support; (f) personalise your shopping experience and send marketing communications (with your consent); (g) comply with legal obligations including KYC/AML regulations; (h) improve and maintain the Platform.

4. Legal Bases for Processing

We process your personal data on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (to fulfil your orders); legitimate interests (fraud prevention, platform security); compliance with legal obligations (KYC, tax); and consent (marketing emails — you may withdraw consent at any time by clicking "Unsubscribe" in any marketing email).

5. Sharing Your Information

We share your personal data with: (a) payment processors (Paystack) to process transactions; (b) logistics providers to arrange delivery; (c) cloud service providers (NeonDB, Upstash, Cloudinary) for platform infrastructure; (d) email providers (Resend) to send communications; (e) merchants, solely to the extent necessary to fulfil your order; (f) law enforcement or regulatory authorities when required by law. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

6. Cookies & Tracking

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you logged in and preserve your cart. We also use analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the Platform. You can control non-essential cookies via your browser settings. Disabling strictly necessary cookies will impair Platform functionality.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active and for up to 7 years thereafter to comply with Nigerian financial regulations. KYC documents are retained for a minimum of 5 years as required by law. You may request deletion of your account and personal data; however, we may retain certain information where legally required.

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage, and access controls. Payments are handled exclusively by Paystack — we never store raw card numbers. Despite these measures, no system is completely secure; you use the Platform at your own risk and should use a strong, unique password for your account.

10. Children

The Platform is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately and we will delete it promptly.

11. International Transfers

Your data may be processed outside Nigeria (e.g., on cloud servers in Europe or the United States). Where we transfer data internationally we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions, in accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Platform at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
